After spending many months designing and developing My Welltype, I was excited to finally release the app. However, the number of downloads was much lower than I had expected.
One possible reason is that My Welltype is currently only available on Android. Many of my friends and people around me use iPhones, which limits the number of people who can try the app. However, I also realized that accessibility may not be the only issue.
As I reviewed the app and gathered feedback, I began to notice areas where the user interface and overall user experience could be improved. While developing the app taught me how to build a working product, releasing it taught me an even more important lesson: creating an app is only the beginning. Understanding users and continuously improving the experience are just as important.
Because of this, I have decided to work on a major update to My Welltype. My goals include redesigning the user interface, improving usability, and eventually expanding support to iOS devices. Through this process, I hope to make the app more engaging, accessible, and useful for future users.
This experience has shown me that setbacks are not failures—they are opportunities to learn, improve, and build something better.
