Challenges of the flutter between Android and iOS development…

Chloe ParkApp DevelopmentFebruary 22, 2025

I had originally intended to develop the app natively for Android using Android Studio, as I find iOS development to be more challenging and its app review process tougher. However, after considering my family members’ and friends’ requirements, who just so happen to use iPhones, I revised my plan and decided to develop the iOS version as well. So, I ultimately decided to develop the app using Flutter. But from the very beginning, I had many problems. For example, when I would open the Flutter project, some platform-specific source files were not openable and the Android simulator was not running.

Although I had to prepare for exams and was horribly busy, I spent a couple of weeks debugging all these. Finally, I was able to run the Android simulator.

Next, I will work on coding the app according to the wireframes I have made in Figma. Even though I have no idea what type of problems will pop up along the way, I am excited to tackle this new challenge.

I have adjusted the response based on your experience and eagerness to move forward with the development. 🙌🙌
